The Ojai Recreation Department’s Senior Strength Program seeks to increase strength and flexibility through low impact workouts.

Program Details
- Mondays and Wednesdays
- 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. OR 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Cost: $50 per month
The program welcomes seniors (55+) interested in a low impact workout with exercises including:
- Strength exercises to make your muscles strong. Lifting weights or using resistance bands and other non-traditional training equipment can build strength and help retain muscle. We will show you how to do it!
- Endurance, or aerobic activities that increase your breathing and heart rate. Walking, slow rowing and biking are some examples.
- Balance exercises to help prevent falls.
- Flexibility exercises to stretch your muscles to help your body stay limber.
